Manly Henley

His leg bloody ,yet his arms strong,
Captain soul senses horror of shade
But looks years in the face unafraid.

And years are not afraid in the eyes.
The dust does not bring them tears,
Only a snicker on the curve of a lip.

(We are talking about William Earnest Henley’s famous manly poem Invictus)
