Children’s games

You are kids from our knees down
Looking on the world as blue hills
In a fuzzy grove of the far off trees.

You play games round wood pillars
Of eye’s dreams, also-have-beens.
You hide and we seek the very eyes.

Your rules change like life’s rules
With no notice, now this, now that.
From knees up, don’t grow to sky.
